Samsung is getting ready to unveil its upcoming foldable smartphones, including Galaxy Z Fold 7, which was recently seen on Geekbench running One UI 8

The Korean tech giant Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in the second half of the year. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Flip FE along with the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been seen on Geekbench, showing it's running One UI 8.0 on Android 16, This confirms the phone will be running on the latest version of One UI and Android out of the box. As per the @tarunvats Samsung’s upcoming device Galaxy Z Fold 7 with the model number SM-F966U has appeared on Geekbench with a score of 18,143 points.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 with book-style foldable identified by model number SM-F966U, has appeared on Geekbench, shared by tipster @TarunVats. The listing shows that it runs Android 16 with One UI 8.0. It is expected in July, just two months from now, showing Samsung is following its usual timeline.

This early benchmark shows a major improvement in the software experience. There isn’t much information is available yet on what features One UI 8 will bring. According to earlier leaks, the upcoming One UI update may include support for third-party widgets on the lock screen, new multitasking options, and upgraded DeX display controls.

If we talk Hardware-wise, the Z Fold 7 features a Qualcomm chip labeled with the codename “sun”, This strongly suggests that the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The clock speeds of the CPU are also the same as the S25 Ultra's Snapdragon 8 Elite.
