Xiaomi HyperOS Works Without Google | Android-Based OS 2025 Strategy

As we know, Most Android smartphones are integrated with Google apps, but not all brands depend on Google. Most of the companies try to avoid Google’s ecosystem, but Xiaomi is trying to take a different path. However, as per reports company is developing a new version of HyperOS that runs on Android but operates without the need for Google.

According to a report from Xiaomitime, major Chinese tech giants like Xiaomi, Huawei, and the BBK Group (Owner of brands like OnePlus, OPPO, and vivo) are likely to collaborate on a new project to develop a Google-free Android. Meanwhile the base of the development is likely to be Xiaomi’s HyperOS. We can say that the five big smartphone brands are developing this project.

As per the report, we can assume that HyperOS 3.0 might be the first major step for reducing its reliance on Google’s ecosystem. It means that now Xiaomi will not use Google services like Google Mobile Services, Google Play Services, and Google TV. As we know that these are the core apps which used to enhance the overall Android user experience, and if Xiaomi is unable to deliver the performance like that, then it will impact on user experience, and it might also turn out to be a huge loss.

As we know that Huawei is banned from using Google Mobile services. Huawei also has the experience of making Google free Android smartphone. Huawei makes a HarmonyOS, which faced some difficulties in its early stages, but now it is an established software ecosystem in China. But if we see a Google free Android smartphone, then it is very difficult to survive on a global level.
