WhatsApp New Bottom Navigation Bar With Swipe Gestures

WhatsApp is going to come with a new bottom navigation bar with swipe gestures. This new update will be available on Google play store. Users who will have the latest WhatsApp Beta 2.23.13.9 version installed on their device will have the new bottom navigation bar with swipe gestures.

WhatsApp as we all know keep on updating new features to enhance the user experience.  In that aspect now WhatsApp is planning to get a bottom navigation bar with swipe gestures. Present we navigate to calls, status etc with swipe gestures. But to reach other settings we need to click on the three dot option on the right top corner and then click on the options we need.

But now WhatsApp is planning to have a user interface similar to iOS. According to WABetainfo the new navigation bar will bring all the main tabs in WhatsApp like status, chats, communities and calls and one place so that it will be easy to access them. It’s still under development and it’s not clear whether it will support the swipe gesture after getting the whatsapp new bottom navigation bar.

It’s expected that some lucky beta testers who will have installed the latest WhatsApp Beta 2.23.13.9 version will be able to make use of the whatsapp new navigation bar with swipe gestures. It’s expected that the swipe gesture on the new navigation bar will be available to more Beta testers once WhatsApp completes its development process.

But is this feature gonna work? Well, I’m not sure. Some of the Beta testers have revealed that using the WhatsApp bottom navigation feature with swipe gestures leads to crashing of the app. If you have installed the latest version of the whatsapp and are facing the same issues then better you switch to the previous version. At present as the feature is under development it will be available to dome lucky beta testers but as soon as the new whatsapp bottom navigation bar with swipe gestures rolls out completely many other accounts will be able to make use of it.

Apart from whatsapp bottom navigation bar with swipe gestures meta is also working on many other privacy features like locking chats within whatsapp. Apart from that there are some privacy features for admins in group chats as well. Hopefully we will be able to see more such updates and features on whatsapp in the coming future.
