WhatsApp Launching a New Feature to Allow Users to Pin Messages 

The most used messenger app, WhatsApp, has been making innovations in some of its features. It has never failed to fix the bugs and make updates for periodic changes. WhatsApp is introducing its new feature to allow users to pin messages in groups and chats. 

This could be a time saving update as one can pin the important texts or messages in the chats or in the group chats and make them appear on the top of the inbox. This can be used to display the necessary texts and is accessible at any time and it  is available on the updated versions and the pinned texts also get notified regarding its update.

According to WhatsApp news tracker WABetaInfo, the messaging service WhatsApp owned by Meta, is developing a new feature that will let users pin messages inside of chats and groups. This capability will also allow users to pin important messages to the top of the chat.

Whatsapp will display a message in the chat requesting the receiver to update to the most recent version available on the app if a message is pinned and the recipient is still using an earlier version of the app. Through this users will be able to pin important messages on the top of the conversation. 

Based on the reports, they are releasing the beta version of the app before it is made generally available. This feature would be especially helpful in official WhatsApp groups where messages are sent quickly and frequently, making it difficult to find a particular text. It will be incorporated in a later version of the app.

In addition, WhatsApp is planning to introduce a new function that will enable users to quickly create calling shortcuts from the app’s contact list. Whenever this feature becomes available in the future versions, users can upgrade their app either from the Google Play Store or from the App Store. According to the knowledge of the reports, this feature will be first released for Android devices.
