WhatsApp is Currently Working on Calling Shortcut in Android: Here is how it Works

WhatsApp never stops working on a latest feature that will make it easier for Android users to make calls. The latest calling shortcuts feature will allow users to make quick and easy calling using the app. The calling shortcuts feature will help users to enable quick access to their contacts list and initiate a call without opening up the app. 

It will also allow users to set up custom shortcuts for frequently called contacts which allows users to make quick calls. With this latest feature, WhatsApp is looking to make calling as easy as texting messages on this platform. As per reports by WABetaInfo, the calling shortcut feature started integrating to the app, this will make it easy for users by tapping on the contact cell within the list of contacts. 

This latest calling shortcut feature will automatically be added to the home screen of the user’s device, once it is created. This update is being rolled out through the Google Play Store Beta Program for Android beta testers. This update usually carries version 2.23.3.15 and this allows users the ability to use the calling feature within this application. 

As per the current reports, this calling shortcuts are under development and soon will be released in the future update of this application. This latest feature will be helpful to WhatsApp users who frequently make calls to the same person and they do not require to go through the same procedure all the time. Like, opening the app and starting searching for that particular contact every time.

WhatsApp is also working on an in-app banner feature within the app which will allow users to browse their documents. This new banner feature will be available to use in the upcoming update of this application. WhatsApp users will also be able to share their documents and files up to 2GB in size.
