
From 23rd to 26th September, 2025, Qualcomm is going to hold Snapdragon Summit, where 8 Elite 2 by Snapdragon will be taking off. This US-based chipmaker, Snapdragon, is trying to boost the next-generation flagship smartphones in terms of performance, speed, accuracy and efficiency. Leaks in social media handle of Digital Chat Station claim that this is coming with upgraded software, which will increase the processing power as well as the graphics power of the upcoming handsets.

Snapdragon 8 Elite 2: Major Upgrades in CPU
Leaks claim that the current processor is coming with a major upgrade in CPU architecture, they are going to introduce Qualcomm’s 2nd-Gen CPU on the upcoming Snapdragon summit this year. The development of Oryon CPU architecture is a new upgradation by this chipset. According to Geekbench platform, the current upgraded chipset is aiming to achieve around 4000-single core score and 11000-multi core scores, which are highly greater than the scored by 1st Gen Snapdragon8 Elite. So, we can assume that the current chip is going to make a high jump comparing to Snapdragon-8-Elite 1st Gen smartphone. It is also rumoured that the CPU structure will be of 2+6, with 5GHz maximum clock speed.
Snapdragon 8 Elite 2: Major Upgraded in GPU
The current upgraded chipset is also coming with a major upgrade on the graphics to improve the visuals, quality and thermal control of new upcoming flagship handsets. Inclusion of 16MB GMEM cache and Adreno840 GPU are the major upgrades in 2nd gen chipset by Snapdragon 8 Elite. It will help to support the applications carrying high graphics, the current chipset will make the upcoming flagship smartphones fit for the gamers. Thermal control is another feature, which will allow the gamers to play games with high graphics without heating issues.
Upcoming Brands with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2nd Gen Chipset
It can be assumed that Xiaomi is going to be the first brand who will put this processor to its upcoming flagship phones, Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro. Later, other brands, including OnePlus, Honor Magic, iQOO and Nubia will also use this upgraded version.
