What is One UI 8 Watch?
One UI 8 Watch is Samsung's new smartwatch software update, based on Wear OS 6.0 and Android 15. This update includes many new health features, better battery control and new ways of fitness tracking.
The purpose of this beta update is to let users experience new features before the final version.
Which devices got the beta update?
Samsung has clarified that the beta update has been released only for Galaxy Watch 5 and newer watch models. This includes Watch 5 Pro, Watch 6, Watch 6 Classic, Watch FE and the upcoming Watch 7 series. Galaxy Watch 4 and Classic have been completely removed from this program.
Will Watch 4 not get updates anymore?
Samsung had promised to update the Galaxy Watch 4 for four years. This could mean that Watch 4 will get the final version of One UI 8, but not the beta version. So if you are a Watch 4 user, you will only have to wait for the final update.
What should you do?
If you have a Watch 5 or newer watch, you can join the beta program through the Samsung Members app. But if you are using Watch 4, you will not get any beta or new feature right now.
Where is the One UI 8 Beta Available?
Currently, this One UI 8 Watch beta update has been made available only in South Korea and the United States. It will be released in other countries later.
Samsung is now focusing more on its new models. In such a situation, if you want the latest features, then getting a new watch in the future may be a better option.
