Samsung’s Bixby made its debut in the electronic market in 2017, and is now able to answer the calls for you. Bixby now conveniently works and controls all of your Galaxy devices such as phone, tab, watch, buds, book, refrigerators and many more.
On 22nd February, 2023, Samsung announced the updates on the Bixby, Samsung’s virtual assistant. The update says that Samsung’s Bixby has been upgraded to improve the user experience and performance, capabilities of the intelligent assistant and platform.
YoungJip Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Artificial Intelligence Team, has added that Bixby is built with an intelligent interface that is proactive and adaptive and gives the people greater control over their mobile experience.
Bixby’s update has promised to bring several new features and improvements that allow people to customise their user experience to a next level. One of the recent updates includes Bixby Text Call.
Bixby Text Call, It allows the English-speaking to answer the calls for anywhere just by typing a message. The type message gets transformed into the voice note and the Bixby communicates on their behalf.
Bixby Custom Voice Creator, the users can personalise their Bixby Text Call, simply by recording different sentences for Bixby to analyse and create an AI generated copy of their voice and tone. It is currently available in South Korea, the motherland of Samsung.
The update on Bixby also includes the fascinating features like Custom wake-up, on-device AI support, to play music, and other numerous commands on its bag.
The main motto of Samsung Bixby is to ease the user experience. Virtual assistants like Siri, Google voice assistant, are the competitors for Samsung’s Bixby.
Multiple functionality of Samsung’s Bixby can help tasks done efficiently via personalised wake-up commands. Samsung Bixby is trained to analyse the users requirements as per the apps usage to give an unreplicable user experience.

- Bixby Text Call is limited to selective models like Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Z Fold4 and Z Flip4.
- Bixby Text Call works only on phones with One UI 4.1.1 or above for Korean.
- It also works for phones with One UI 5.1 or above for English.
