Samsung first revealed the Galaxy S25 Edge at its January Galaxy Unpacked event, and reports said it would go on sale on April 15. But a latest leak suggests that the launch has been pushed back. The firm is now set to host an online launch event to unveil the device, which will be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip used in the rest of the S25 series. The phone is also said to have a thin 5.84mm body and a 3,900mAh battery.

As per a SamMobile report based on unidentified sources, Samsung has delayed the launch of Galaxy S25 Edge by approximately one month, targeting a release on May 13. The event will reportedly take place online, following Samsung's recent digital product unveil trend.

Samsung's upcoming flagship phone will show up after their initial 2025 CES event. The January 2025 launch date gives Samsung the opportunity to showcase its latest flagship device at CES as their premier global product launch platform. There is no official statement on the January release of the Galaxy S25 Edge currently available despite the fact that Samsung will potentially launch its device individually between late January and early February.

Initially teased together with the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup, the S25 Edge is likely to fall between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra in the hierarchy. Leaked renders indicate that it will come in three colors Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Icy Blue identical to those of the S25 Ultra.

Leaks suggest the Galaxy S25 Edge will be launched with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is said to boast a 6.6-inch screen along with an ultra-slim build at a mere 5.84mm thick. In the camera department, the smartphone is said to have a 200-megapixel main sensor paired with a 12-megapixel auxiliary shooter. The phone will also allegedly have a 3,900mAh battery, supporting 25W fast charging.

While Samsung has yet to confirm these details, the rumored May launch suggests an official announcement could be just around the corner
