Airtel and Blinkit Launch Quick SIM Card Delivery Services                                    

In a new collaboration, Airtel and Blinkit promise SIM cards at your door in under 10 minutes. India’s first telecom, which will provide 10-minute SIM delivery, is now available in 16 cities.

The partnership has been designed to speed up SIM card buying, with doorstep delivery available for just ₹49. This service is available to both prepaid and postpaid users and supports Mobile Number Portability (MNP) for customers looking to switch to Airtel.

This service is available in cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru,
Faridabad, Sonipat, Lucknow,  Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore,  Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad.

How can I apply for an Airtel connection and activate the SIM card?

  • While collaboration, Airtel has introduced a new system that allows customers to activate their SIM cards from their homes by using their Aadhaar card with the help of KYC.

Step 1: Go to Airtel’s KYC website or airtel.in/kyc/.
Step 2: Selected the "Start SIM Activation" button located in the bottom-right corner.
Step 3: Provide your current mobile number.
Step 4: Enter the number and verify it using OTP.
Step 5: Now insert your email ID.
Step 6: Tap to select between paid and postpaid services.
Step 7: Next, choose between 'New Connection' or 'Switch to Airtel' according to your needs.
Step 8: Choose the scan option on the screen to capture the QR code printed on the SIM pack and obtain the required 20-digit code.

Step 9: Select the plan you prefer for your Airtel connection.
Step 10: On the next screen, choose your preferred mobile number and press the Confirm button.

Step 11: Click on the "Submit and Proceed to KYC" option to move forward.
Step 12: Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and agree to the terms and conditions.
Step 13: Click the “Verify Aadhaar via OTP” button to verify your Aadhaar.

Step 14: Input the OTP sent to your phone and press the Verify button to proceed.

Step 15: Input your Date of Birth, then tap the “Open Camera” button to begin photo verification.
Step 16: Take a photo with your face in the centre and then press the Submit button.
Step 17: To proceed with video verification, click the record button and announce your name and birth date.
Step 18: Choose your disability status and press the ‘Submit Details’ button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 19: Once you've submitted all your details, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP on the screen to submit your request.

Step 20: Now you just need to insert your SIM card, then use it.
