Deadline for Application Submission For Income Tax Recruitment 2023
The eligible candidates are requested to fill out the application form as per Annexure-II on or before 17.03.2023.
The date is shifted forward to 31.03.2023 for the willing candidates from the North Eastern States, Andaman Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep. Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir.

Selection of the Candidates for the Income Tax Department 2023
The candidates are selected via two phases;
1. Phase-1
- The candidates are selected based on their achievements in sports or games and also their performance in field trials.
- If the candidate doesn’t fit for field trials, the candidate is not considered for the appointment in the Income Tax Department.
2. Phase-2
- The candidates should appear for a written test for the post of Income Tax Inspectors or Tax Assistants or Multi-Tasking Staff consisting of;
- Objective type multiple choice questions in;
- General Knowledge,
- Reasoning,
- Numerical or Quantitative Aptitude,
- General English, and
- General Awareness.
- Objective type multiple choice questions in;
- Languages Preferences for the written test – English or Hindi.
- Also, the candidate should qualify for the Data Entry Skill Test 8000 key depressions per hour.
