A great twist in the iPhone 15 charging port. Yes! Now the new iPhone 15 comes with the USB-C port. Then is it possible to use the android chargers on the iPhone 15? Obviously no, it’s rumored that Apple is going to incorporate a custom IC chip in the USB-C port which supports only Apple products. Therefore you have to use the charger that comes with the device though you have a USB-C charger with you.
The custom integrated chips are a type of semiconductors that helps to access the mobile to only specific devices. This is what is going to happen with the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. These chips make the device available for only Apple manufactured chargers. As other chargers lack these chips they won’t be compatible with the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro.
Though the iPhone 15 and iPhone Pro are coming with the custom IC chip based USB-C port, it’s not sure that other devices of Apple like iPad, iPad Mini, iPad Air etc would come with the chip based USB-C port. It’s believed that these 10th generation Apple devices may not have the chip in the USB-C port which limits its connection to other chargers.

As of now, the iPhone 15 is the first device from Apple with a USB-C port. When it comes to the charging speed and data transfer there’s still no info about it from the company. The possibilities may restrict some features on its new devices like fast charging and high speed data transfer to only particular devices.
The new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 plus would have the charging speed just similar to the lightning port which is about USB 2.0 speeds. The other models of iPhone 15: iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 ultra are expected to possess high data transfer speeds according to Ming-Chi Kuo, the Apple analyst.
