Vodafone Idea has officially rolled out its 5G services for its customers. While the VI 5G  services are only available in Mumbai, they will expand to other cities like Delhi, Patna, Chandigarh, and Bengaluru in April 2025 in the future. The company released a 5G plan for their customers starting at just rupees 299 in India.

This recharge pack is a prepaid plan. Meanwhile, VI provides 5G data with every plan for its postpaid customers. However, customers can use 30 GB of 5G data every month. In this article, we will let you know the cheapest 5G plan provided by Vodafone Idea and what users will get.

Vodafone Idea Rs 299 5G Plan

Vodafone Idea's this 5G plan of Rs 299 provides unlimited calling along with 1 GB of daily internet and 100 SMS per day. Customers can get a validity of 28 days with this plan. Which is not really unlimited as it only provides 30 GB of data in a month. Vi has also removed its Vi Hero unlimited benefits that usually come with this plan. The customers will only get the above-mentioned benefits. Like other companies, Vi doesn't provide any OTT subscription with this plan.

Customers choosing plans worth ₹299 or higher will receive unlimited 5G from the telecom operator. But Vodafone Idea will launch 5G services in various stages in the month of April. This telecom company expanded 5G services to more states in India, like Karnataka, Bihar, Delhi, and Punjab. In its capex strategy, the company is prioritizing both the rollout of 5G and a broad 4G expansion to reach users with 4G phones.

As for the anticipation in the upcoming day, more users will upgrade their smartphones to 5G, thus Vi is introducing the service at a time when the market is fully prepared for this new technology. With the launch of AirFiber or 5G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access), the telco is sure to be in the spotlight.
