Sony WH-1000XM6 Leak Teases Big Upgrades Before Launch                                    

On May 15th, Sony is expected to release the next version of its WH-1000XM5 noise-canceling headphones, based on information leaked by Dealabs and Android Authority.

Information about the new WH-1000XM6 headphones came through an Amazon Spain listing, which was later removed after being spotted by a Reddit user. With the latest Active Noise Cancellation technology (ANC) introduced in XM6, which is called QN3 HD. While as per the Dealabs QN3 HD is seven times faster the the previous Sony’s XM 5 chip.

The improved chip should boost both noise cancellation and possibly audio performance, and the headphones now include an AI-driven six-mic beamforming system for clearer calls, along with a headphone jack.

As we know that after the higher tariffs were introduced by the U.S government that the price of the new XM6 was also affected. As per the information from Dealabs, the XM6 is likely to launch in the US at $449.99, which is a $50 increase as compared to the XM5 at $399.99. As per the senior reviewer, Chris Welch, these are the best wireless headphones for most users. While the XM5 offered only a minor improvement in noise cancellation over the 2020 XM4, we can also expect that the XM6 is going to improve a lot, as the price is also higher.
