Samsung has finally released One UI 7 as the latest interface based on Android 15. This user interface update has quite a bit in store, with a new design, revamped multitasking, and augmented AI features to spice things up. Flagship Devices Leading The Charge
The leaked timeline from a Samsung workshop states that the rollout procedure of One UI 7 will commence from mid-April 2025 and will be staged accordingly:
It is inclined that the first updates to One UI 7 will start rolling in from April 18 and these should include the Galaxy S24 series (S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE), Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The updates will ensure that by April 25, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Z Fold 5 will be updated along with the mid-range Galaxy A54.
Subsequent Phases of the Rollout
The update process will continue over the subsequent weeks:
May 16, 2025: Starting with the Galaxy S23 FE, updates will sweep through the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy A34, A33, and A53.
May 23, 2025: Galaxy S21 series together with Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 are on schedule to receive One UI 7.
A Glimpse Into One UI 7 Features
More than just a pretty face, One UI 7 brings a whole lot of new features and improvements, including:
Improvements from the AI aspect, enhanced text recognition, and offering tailored experiences to users. A restructured interface: new-look with new icons, new widgets, and a user-friendly lock screen.
Better Multitasking: Now Bar, similar to Apple's Dynamic Island, giving a real-time status on track playing as well as rides ongoing. Improved Security: More privacy settings and biometric authentication so the user data is safe.
In Beta Testing and Final Release
The One UI 7 beta program has opened its doors on 5th December 2024 in select markets-Countries like the USA, South Korea, and Germany. It was initially rolled out on Galaxy S24 series but is likely to cover other recent devices also.
