Jio Announces JioFiber Backup Plan for Unlimited Data

This Monday, Reliance communications made an announcement that Jio is launching a Jio Fiber backup plan at 198 INR/month.

Jio never surprises to amaze people, so does now! Especially with the IPL season, Jio is making the most out of it. 

The Jio Fiber backup plan is really going to be a game changer in the fiber net industry.

Main thing to keep in mind is that the Jio Fiber backup plan must be installed for 5 months. Which means it costs 990 for 5 months (198×5 = 990). If you don’t have an active Jio connection, this may cost you 500 extra for installation of the router.

The Jio Fiber backup plan is pretty simple, you need to pay 198 for a month, and you will get unlimited internet at 10Mbps.

This plan is truly a value add-on to your existing plans, especially if you are an IPL freak. And why’s that? It’s all because the backup plan offers live IPL streaming included within.

How to get a Jio Fiber Backup Plan?

It’s pretty simple,

If you are already an existing Jio Fiber customer, all you need is to call your customer service provider and add this plan.

If you don’t have a connection, all you need to do is give a missed call on 60008 60008, or reach a nearest Jio Fiber retailer and get the Jio Fiber backup plan installed.

For the new Jio Fiber backup plan connection, one must pay INR 1490/- (990 for 5 months and 500 for installation).

Jio also plans to target the DTH service market with this, by giving a set-up-box for only INR 100/- extra recharge. This will have a huge impact on its competitors and also it creates new-era of Jio in DTH.
