Apple always keep the software name according to their model name. This is their tradition. For example, Apple has released iPhone 16, software naming iOS 16. They always try to align the numbers of software name and model name. But, rumour says, Apple finally took decision to ditch their traditional method of numbering the software according to model number. They have planned to name the software according to the year. They are starting rebranding the operation software number according to release year. It simply means- operating software releasing in 2025 will be named as iOS 26.
iOS 26 Apple Software is coming next
Rumour says Apple is going to make debut of their next operating system, iOS 26 in Worldwide Developers Conference which will be held at 9th June 2025. They are taking a huge jump by dubbing with iOS26. Not only, iPhone is taking the jump with this new tradition of Apple, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, visionOS 26, and tvOS 26 are also jumping with this trend. Apple says, numbering the OS according to Calendar year will make it simpler, clear and easy to remember for the users. Following the count of OS to name it, is little more confusing than following a calendar year.
Apple iOS 26 Design
Not only the name, Apple is also planning to change the design of the new iOS 26. The design will be bold, following the design of visionOS. Leaks claim Apple is going to put softer design, and dynamic interfaces in iOS 26. This software is bringing floating bars of navigations, extra storage and advanced camera options. The change is not only coming in iPhone, but also in mac, iPad, and tv.
