Samsung has begun the rollout of the One UI 7 software update based on Android 15 for the Galaxy S25 series, which also includes the March 2025 security patch. This new software version adds numerous fresh features as well as enhancements in performance and essential security updates to enhance overall user experience.

One UI 7: A Leap Forward in User Experience

One UI 7 includes various improvements for more efficiently and intuitively interacting with Galaxy devices. The leading highlights include:

Advanced AI Features:  Introducing even more advanced AI tools, including the Gemini digital assistant, and Now Brief, which can help simplify daily tasks in different ways.

Redesigned Look and Feel: A refreshed look and feel with much smoother animations, improved multitasking, and a simpler process for setting up security, all of which lead to a more fluid and responsive experience.

Upgraded Camera Functionality: Improved camera features  include AI filters and improved processing, allowing users to take even better quality photos.

March 2025 Security Patch: Strengthening Device Protection

In addition to the improvements to features, this update comes with the March 2025 security patch, which fixes 58 security vulnerabilities in the prior software version: 51 were patched by Google and 7 were patched for Samsung devices, all to keep you (or other devices) secure against threat.

Global Rollout and Device Compatibility

The One UI 7 update is being distributed in batches, with the Galaxy S25 series being the first to receive it, and we’ll begin to rollout to other eligible devices on April 10 in the United States in the form of the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Open Settings. Select Software update. Touch Download and install.

Be sure to connect your device to Wi-Fi, and ensure it has enough battery before completing the update.
