Samsung has released the March 2025 Security update for the Galaxy S20 Series, but from this update, there is also bad news for the S20 series users. Samsung has excluded the Galaxy S20 series from the April 2025 update rollout. It means that this Galaxy S20 series will not further receive the software updates.
What is the end of support?
Samsung also provides the longest software updates for its devices, particularly for its premium smartphones. The new Galaxy S25 series is a prime example because this series Samsung promises 7 years of guaranteed OS updates. In simple terms, the flagship device owners will receive One UI or Android updates till 2032.
As soon as this term ends then the South Korean tech giant Samsung will not provide any update further. Now, let’s go through the Galaxy smartphones that will no longer receive updates after 2025:

- Samsung Galaxy W21 5G ( Chinese version of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G )
All the devices listed were first released approximately five years ago, in 2020. We will also let you know that Samsung discontinued update support for the Galaxy A02s, A12, and W21 5G in January 2025. Meanwhile, Galaxy S20 series still has a bit of time left before support ends.
