16 Billion Logins Stolen in Record Data Breach Apple, Google, Facebook Credentials at Risk

If you also use mobile, laptop or any online platform, then this news is very important for you. Recently a big report has come out which states that about 16 billion login details have been leaked on the Internet.

This includes user accounts of Google, Apple, Facebook and many other big platforms. Imagine, if your password is also included in these leaked details, then your personal information can go into someone else's hands.

How did this data leak?

This data is not part of any old hack. According to reports, the information that has been leaked this time is brand new and it has been stolen through a dangerous software called Infostealer. This software silently enters your device and steals your username and password. You don't even know and your account can go under someone else's control.

What should you do now?

When it is clear that such a big data has been leaked, you should also be alert. First of all, immediately change the passwords of all your important accounts like Gmail, Facebook, bank account etc.

Keep a different password for each account and turn on two-step verification (2FA) so that no one can log in with just the password. If you have used the same password at many places, then change it immediately.

Protect your data yourself

In today's time, your online security is in your own hands. If you take a little caution and keep updating your accounts from time to time, then your data can remain safe. Whichever site you use, make sure that your information remains only with you. As the Internet makes our lives easier, its dangers are also increasing.
