Xiaomi 16 Launch: All We Know
According to the post by tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, it is expected that the Xiaomi 16 is going to launch in China in September 2025. According to the tipster, it might also have a small display. Also, as per the older rumors, it is expected that this smartphone might feature a 6.32-inch display, which little bit smaller than the Xiaomi 15, whose display size is 6.36 inches 1.5 K 8T LTPO.
Tipster also revealed that the Xiaomi 16 is most likely to have the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC chipset. Meanwhile, Qualcomm hasn’t unveiled about this chipset yet, but it is rumored that it will increase GPU performance by 30 percent and CPU performance by 25 percent. It is also expected that Xiaomi 16 will come with an improved 16 MB GPU cache along with the LPDDR6 or LPDDR5X RAM.

According to the previous leaks, it is also expected that the Xiaomi 16 will have a bigger battery than the Xiaomi 15, which has a powerful battery of 5,400mAh along with the 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support but according to the latest rumors Xiaomi 16 might have the 6,800mAh battery along with the 100W wired fast charging support.
According to the Tipster, Xiaomi 16 is expected to have a light and thin build. Talking about the camera of Xiaomi 16, it might have the 50 MP Leica-backed triple camera set, which includes a telephoto camera, which is similar to the previous version. It is also expected that Xiaomi 16 will have the HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, which is an out-of-the-box feature.
