How will WhatsApp Meta AI work?
When you open a chat that has a lot of unread messages, a small summary button will appear on top. On clicking it, Meta AI will show a small and clear summary of the entire chat.
This feature will be especially helpful for those people who are busy and it is not possible for them to read every message. You will only get the main points without scrolling the entire conversation.
Will privacy be protected with WhatsApp's Meta AI feature?
Yes, WhatsApp has maintained its end-to-end encryption policy with this feature as well. Chat summaries will be processed on your phone only, they will not go to any external server or Meta.

WhatsApp says that Meta AI only uses temporary data which gets deleted immediately. This means that your messages will remain completely private.
When will all users get WhatsApp Meta AI Chat Summary?
Right now this feature is in beta testing phase and is available only for some Android users. But the company has said that this update will be rolled out on both Android and iOS in a few weeks.
