
Perplexity AI has officially launched as a chatbot on WhatsApp. This confirmation was given by Co-founder and CEO Aravind Srinivas on LinkedIn, just after he ran a user poll about interest in a WhatsApp integration. With this integration, the user experience will now be enhanced.
After launching its chatbot on Telegram and X, Perplexity is now taking a major step in bringing AI tools to more widely used apps.

Access without creating an account
The WhatsApp version of Perplexity AI does not require signing up or logging in. The WhatsApp version does not have any barriers. In the WhatsApp version, users do not need to download a separate app or create an account, users can directly start asking questions, researching topics, summarizing articles, or even creating custom images, all directly within WhatsApp. This also saves the user’s time and reduces the burden on device storage and mobile data usage.

To use the Perplexity AI, users just need to add the number +1 (833) 436-3285 to their phone contacts and start a conversation through WhatsApp. However, users can search for the number directly in the app and open a chat without saving it. Although the current version lets users access research tools and answers at no cost, CEO Aravind Srinivas has confirmed that the platform will soon expand its features in the upcoming days. Future updates are expected to bring the following enhancements:
