All those users who use Chrome to search for something then they need to read out this article till the end. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has released a high-severity security advisory for all those who use Google Chrome on their desktop. As per vulnerability note CIVN-2025-0130 by CERT-in, multiple security flaws have been identified in specific versions of Chrome. These vulnerabilities might potentially help the remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or carry out denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, which will affect your system and data.

Who is affected?
The vulnerabilities affect Google Chrome versions earlier than 137.0.7151.119/.120 for Windows or Mac and 137.0.7151.119 for Linux. Users who are using this versions are advised to update their browsers immediately to stay protected from potential security threats.
What’s the risk?
As per CERT-In, if you haven’t updated outdated Chrome version, then you will face problems like:
- Denial of Service (DoS): if hacker Dos attack when it will freeze your browser and it will crash, which leads to make your system unstable.
- Sensitive information leakage: it might leak your data and also theft.
- Arbitrary code execution: letting hackers take control of your device remotely
The flaws include an integer overflow in the V8 engine and a memory handling bug in the Profiler component, These bugs can be used by hackers when users visit unsafe or fake websites.
Do update immediately with these steps
To stay safe, open Chrome’s settings, find the version info, and update your browser now. Google has already fixed this issue, you just need to update your system. You just need to follow the steps below to update it:
1. First of all, you need to open Chrome.
2. Now click on the three-dot menu, then click on Help, now will see About Google Chrome.
3. Then, Chrome browser checks for updates and installs them on its own.
4. Now you just need to restart your browser.
